responses and comments:

My favourite is Apple. The worst I've experienced before is Acer. Their service isn't good at all, and their computer are built unstably. Although their LCD are great. [Tomarse]

I hav tried only gateway Dell and Apple computers.....Apple was the worst but gateway and dell are tied for the better... [ravenhardgrove]
I have used apple and they have some high points. Especially like how easy media can be implemented and manipulated with most apple computers. PC's have some learning to do in this regard, but overall there is much more flexibility and control with PC's. [infoman]

I love gateway myself but love dell laptops. I see your one of the people i introduced to this site i just wanna say welcome and just keep posting there are several new ways to make money allot more then before. I will send you a pm sometime tommorow to show you some of the ways. [all_n_one]
Ok i just sent the pm to you [all_n_one]

I love Gateway. I am not a fan of Apple but that is from experiences from about 10 years ago. I haven't had any exposure to Apple in years. Gateway has some of the best preinstalled software that I have come across. [baldingeagle69]
Dell is definatly a good brand, as well as Compaq. I am using a 7 year old compaq desktop right now and have had very few problems. I don't know much about note books or laptops. [baldingeagle69]

best is custom worst is apple [Geisty]
Custom for Desktop...is most likely correct, but it is also hit and miss. Unless you know what you are doing or know someone who is good at it. Lot's of customs have problems, but when they are right they are the bomb. Laptops is a different story. [infoman]

thats so bad,,,my last name is Zenon.! [habichuelo]

Im a hardcore Dell fan, mostly due to IT experience with all the major players over the last 10 years.. This is going to sound very arrogant, but the reason Acer service sucks is that they laid off all 120 Tech Support reps from San Jose, CA and outsources to San Jose, Costa Rica. (So they can tell you that you are calling San Jose and not be lying.) And I was one of those techs. (I managed a team of 10 that actually had a pretty damn good service rating for the three years we were there.) [pallidyne]
