pentium is a huge brand, they have good publicity, but i think that amd is faster, safer, and more reliable... i like it better. [marius_stp]
yes. i agree with you. i personally use amd too. thanks so much for your response. have a great day! [akotalagato]

its better to use a custom one [smith_velocity]

pentium is better today. Cause of Dual Core. But i still prefer AMD [JOKERz]

pentium is better because these days it faster than amd and its got the whole duo vore and in the last two monts there have been virus targeting amd prossorsers [CrazyP]

well pentium or intell products have been to this buissness for quite some time now nad most companies who uses computer are using intel products so i guess intel or pentium computers are more better than the amd ones. greetings. : ) [moneymind]
thanks so much for your response. intel products are real expensive as compared to amd. but i guess that goes with the brand name. have a nice day! [akotalagato]

i have recently acquired a intel core duo and its amazing. i use a lot of software and i am very thrilled by the performance [malsun]

It is better if you read the reviews online. For me though, I planning to buy an AMD duron on the net so I won't have to buy new motherboard (which would need new rams and perhaps new video card. I can still find brand new ones of it. [borg_queen]
thanks so much for your response. i really appreciate it. i am using an amd duron now and i have no problems with it. have a nice day!! [akotalagato]

i personally feel pentium is better bcoz my own one is working wonderfully n i hav had no problems sinc long [petals166]
thanks so much for your response. i really appreciate it. have a nice day!! [akotalagato]

i'd rather say amd 64, it has a lot of oomf. but in philippines pentium 4 is at peak..... but you have to consider if its for gaming or just for word processing. there are the budget amd sempron & intel celeron.... [ipissakusina]

Both are equally good, but AMD is cheaper. [globalwealth]

As much as I hate to say it, Pentium. Better technology, faster, more reliable... [geokat]

All electrical stuff is made from smoke. Sooner or later it will get out. [locotime]

I think intel as they have better upgrade options and better product lines... Today INTEL CORE 2 DUO is the best in performance, reliability ... [shyam4uall]

pentium will last longer because AMD gets heated up very soon..so pentium is the best in performance and reliability.. [akshaymardia]

amd is better.it's quieter and has very good performance. [cooldude8889]

pentium I think better then others. [rfhameed2003]

i think amd is better its cheaper and also performs well. [shibi77trv]

i prefer AMD since i am using one.I use AMD because --comparatively cheap --high performance --high stabilty --greater support for gaming i recommned AMD FX 64 bit computing. It has many advantage over intel pentium 4 processors.but i heard that intel pentium duo core2 is much better than other precedures and a like performance with AMD 64.so i f you are going to buy a new computer either you go for AMD FX 64 or Pentium 4 Duo core 2. thank you! AMD, just because Intel has been kicking that x86 architechure so long that they just don't deserve to exist. Atleast AMD is beating them at their own game. Not to mention that the x86 design sucks so much that to get the speeds they run at now its actually a RISC core internally with logic in front to convert the CISC opcodes to RISC.AMD has speed and power over intel now, at least in high end cpus. But stability is going to depend on how compatible the hardware in the computer is and how well written the programs you use are. Also, clock speeds no longer matter anymore when you have multiple ALU pipelines and out of order execution. Not to mention you currently can't really pass 3Ghz (in a digital system) with current CMOS technology due to the large leakage currents and heat dissipation [afidzol]

AMD user way back since 2000! AMDs are definitely cheaper than Intel's, and the performace are quite the same. I barely notice the difference between an AMD and its equivalent Pentium counterpart! And with the money I save, I would be able to buy a bigger hard drive, bigger memory, bigger monitor, extra peripherals and the likes! And since AMD is getting a foothold on the market, Intel was forced to slash down its price. In the end, it is us consumers who benefit in the long run, instead of Intel monopolizing the market.:) [ryanrudolf]
