According to me Dell is one of the best .... but here in india they do not have dealers to sell.... we have to contact dell directly and secondly service centres are few... as per my knowledge there is one in bangalore .... [lrajnish]

Nothing personal, but I hate HP, I think they make the worst computers. I will never buy an HP. I'm a Dell guy, I just bought the Dell XPS M140 a few months ago and I love it. [ChrisMorris]

It is very hard to denote a brand as best. I use HP and DELL, I also take operating care of 600 PC of my office and county area's office where HP PC is more than 500 nos. Not a brand makes a computer best, its making country make its best service. Compac also good to use. Above all to me HP of USA assembled origin is best. [edigital]

I think going for a branded computer doesnt meet our requirements unless u pay heavy for it. Its always better to get a computer assembled as u can choose ur products and make a complete system. [Mkindia]

I would not be able to answer with full confidence as I have not tested all the brands.But atleast I can say that with my as well as other's opinion and reviews I had conluded that HP/COMPAQ is the master in brand Computer.I personally use Compaq desktop and I am really satisfied with its working and the customer care they provide. I think it has come far enough that they are all about the same hardware wise, it boils down to what you get in the package. My latest was an HP laptop because it came with a big screen, high end video and Vista for about the same as the others without all that. Then add in that I got it at Best Buy with NO MAIL IN REBATES and I was sold. [oldbuddy]

I use Via products and works good, but I loke more Asus motherboard in combination with intel processors..:) They are makeing a good team .. and stable.. for me is important to have a stable system with good resourge management! [bogdanel]

It is right if you buy a brand computer, but if you buy a "no name" cheap computer (like me) and you have problem whit it you must wait 2-3 month for their response even you have waranty certificates [sergiudv]
I am a gamer and i look at only performance. So i think nothing beats Alien Ware. They give so much flexibility, top end configuration, and the best possible performance although their products a bit pricy [adarshgirish]
