What brand is yur computer, and why do you use that certain kind?
I use a dell :) No specific reason..They stopped selling hp at our local Walmart..

I don't have a specific brand. My computer is costume made by me. I have AMD precessor with ASUS mainboard, ATI video card, 1GB DDR RAM, Seagate 120GB, DVD RW TEAC. And gues what????? It's very good! [deejayhunter]

I will only use Dell and nothing else. I have had a Compaq/HP laptop that gave me nothing but problems. So far, with my Dell, I have not had any problems at all in the year that have I owned it **Knocking On Wood**. I love my Dell laptop! My husband has had a Dell desktop for a few years now, and when he had a problem their customer service was great to us. Didn't have to wait very long on the line either for one of them to talk to us. [happygal68]

I have a dell, it suits me fine but one thing I noticed about them is they are very picky about an upgrades you decide to try, for example I wanted to upgrade the processor and mother board but my system won't allow it, you can't even boost the processor as dell has it basically locked, But a lot of the time when you buy a computer you are not getting what is on the outside anyway other than the name. Most systems I have seen have parts from other companies installed. I used to have a acer computer, it hard a maxter hard drive, pentium processor, sony cd writeer, logistic speakers, etc...there was not one part of that computer that was acer except the name. I use a totally custom made computer. I do alot of graphocs and other thinkgs on my computer and don't like any of the other brands that are out there. I have tried alot of them. I just prefer to go into my computer doctor and tell them what I want and need and they build one to my preference at no extra cost above the ones you buy in the store. Sometimes cheeper with better deals. Just my opinion. [geneveve]

Hi there! I used to worked with DELL 2 or 3 years ago as a Technical Support Representative. Been providing technical support for end-users who are having issues with their DELL Dimension desktops or DELL Inspiron laptops. I would suggest that you go for the DELL brand. They really have quality laptops and desktops that fits every budget. The best part is, you can customize your machine to the specifications you want -- processor type and speed, RAM capacity, hard drive capacity, DVD writer, monitor size and the likes. The configurations are endless! And don't forget that after-sales support is also terrific. You can always call DELL whenever your computer acts up, and rest assured they will always be able to help you.
