I have a compaq and it is the worst computer I've ever had. I'm buying my kids a Dell for Christmas.

I have an emachines with an AMD processor and I LOVE it!!! [rosey3223]

I like DIY my computers myself, I have assembled all three of my computers . At the same price, the DIY computer is more powerful than the brand one. Besides, I can enjoy the fun of assembling computers. [philipwu51]

Gateway makes great systems to bad they dont sell them in Europe anymore [Magsman]

I have a Dell and it's the last one I'll ever buy. The computer itself isn't that bad, but their customer service is horrible. At my job, I had an Acer and both it and cusotmer service were great. That's what my next computer is going to be! [LovingIt]

IBM. I feel it performs well [senaka]

Hi there! I used to worked with DELL 2 or 3 years ago as a Technical Support Representative. Been providing technical support for end-users who are having issues with their DELL Dimension desktops or DELL Inspiron laptops. I would suggest that you go for the DELL brand. They really have quality laptops and desktops that fits every budget. The best part is, you can customize your machine to the specifications you want -- processor type and speed, RAM capacity, hard drive capacity, DVD writer, monitor size and the likes. The configurations are endless! And don't forget that after-sales support is also terrific. You can always call DELL whenever your computer acts up, and rest assured they will always be able to help you. The Technical Support guys are very competent and they will walk you step-by-step to get things done. Just sharing my experiences with DELL. :) [ryanrudolf]
