OK, does anyone know how to re-install Outlook? I have called my ISP, Microsoft, and finally HP. All of them want money just to help me out! I get an error on my computer when I go in to outlook that says "Address book failed to load. Outlook Express is incorrectly configured, please re-install"...Then when I go to compose a mail or reply it says "Error..An error has occured" WTF, over?

I know to install all software, even computer. Open folder where outlook software stored, click on open new account then you will get small small window where you will write your account name, address, email address, ips etc. one after another come to you. Your previous mails may out from inbox and outbox opening new account. Outlook express or outlook cannot reinstall only new account can open. You can keep your existing account as it is now. I deleted mine and it caused my computer problems so I got a disk that had outlook express on it. I used a people pc internet disk and it reinstalle dit no problems and it let me keep everything the way i had it. It will also let you install other components your computer might need also. just put your boot cd of the windows version you have installed and you find there repair system click it. then all windows components would work properly [gopal_85]
I don't know. I don't have any problems with Outlook because... well, honestly I never use it. I don't like it. I use a free program called Thunderbird that I think is better. It's great! I used to removae my harddisk for collection from my friend's,becacuse of mis handling the harddisk is damaged,I gave it to service center,they will replace my harddisk.I to them at 20days back ......I am facing a lot of problems in my winter holidays ,because of lack of comp.... I would uninstall your Outlook first, then reinstall it again, when you uninstall it, make sure it is completely removed and then restart your computer, then after that, reinstall the program and go from there. Also you should look to see if yu need to update your computer, you should be able to get some free upgrading downloads from microsoft... [sanell]

It sound like he took the battery out while the computer was running, and you have some corrupted system files. If you have a recovery disk, you are going to need to use it. I would seriously get rid of outlook, try mozilla thunderbird or some other system, i have never had any good experiecnes with microsoft products. THe company pushes to realease and then they must go back and fix mistakes. I also had a same problem last year.If you are usin windows XP then 1)You just go from start menu to control oanel 2)click on add or remove programmes 3)on left side you will see add or remove additional window components -click on that 4)it will ask you to wait and then display you all additional components installed on your machine just click on outlook this will uninstall outlook from youe machine.again click on add or remove ,it may ask you to inser installation cd do so and then reinstall your outlook.it will solve youe problem.use pop3 to access your mail account. I have Outlook express, and a HP computer also. My suggestion is to log onto Windows update, check for updates for your computer (I did this last night and my outlook which was giving some problems needed an update), if that doesn't help, if your HP computer is a newer model, I bought mine last year, and in the programs already installed there is Help and Support, click on this and type in what problem you are having, I did this last night also, and it gave me a list of things I could do, such as install, re-install...I dont know if this would help, but it is certainly worth a try. You can also log onto from your Help and Support center (or just typing HP, or Compaq, or link from Windows update page) to the HP/Compaq site, type in your problem and it may give you a list of things you can try, such as a new driver,etc. It is free to go to their sites, and I know that they always try to charge when you call them for technical support!
