I am trying to figure out what the best type of computer will be..Someone here mentioned looking into the Dell..ANyone have a Dell? Are they good computers..Is it easy to get support for them? What about the pricing?

I would definitely agree that Dell is the best computer to buy and the most reliable and long lasting computer out there. My job uses mainly Dells other than mine which is an Acer. Dells are very good. I am not sure about the support for them though since I never needed to call them. You can get a decent computer for a reasonable price these days. Depends what you want on it. I know I have a friend who has a Dell ..it's nice enough but then she had computer problems..We called a toll free number and the person answering ..could hardly speak English..They got upset with us...because apparently we didnt speak English like they knew it..I think customer service and technical support will play a part in the computer I will choose.:)+ [littlefranciscan]

We have bought only dell computers for the past four years or so and are very pleased with them. We actually own four right now--two desktops and two laptops. The service plans are a bit pricey, but we've had few problems with the computers. We'll definitely buy from them in the future. [malcido]

I will surely recommend DELL, their product is good in terms of quality and also the after sales service which I will definately give it two thumbs up. Their technical support is very excellent and the technical staff is really efficient.My first computer in 2001 is a DELL Dimension desktop and recently I just bought another DELL computer, it is a laptop .... DELL Inspiron 640m .My DELL desktop till now still in good operational condition and believe it or , since I bought this desktop in 2001 till todate, I have no need to replacce any of it's hardware part. i think there are the best provide helpdesk services so I visit the Dell tech support often ... on fustrating feature of their support is they do not directly reference the hardware installed on a Dell system but generalize. They are also very protective in that if you are not the origional purchaser of the hardware they will not talk to you... Their overall intenet support is well below average ... their phone support is being outsorced to India and alot of people have told me that it is very below standard... [asfi123]
I buy a laptop online using dell website. I'll prefer Dell in term of branded and i trust the products from Dell. About the price it just average compared to others like Mac and so on. What i like most is the design from Dell, it looks nice and fancy and just fit for business used. [ihsanul_aniq]
Our first computer was an IBM Aptiva...not a really recognizable one in all of the stores like Best Buy or whathaveyou. We bought a new one about 6-8 months ago. We browsed all of the ads in the papers every week for awhile trying to decide and also to find a good bargain. We decided to buy a dell online...you can pick and choose what you want on it and they ship it to you. It was a good choice. We didn't buy a really expensive one...we couldn't afford it, but we love our computer and have had no problems with it. [estherlou]

I do have a Dell and I have been very happy it. They have some very good deals if you buy the computer online at their website at www.dell.com. They also have good support. If I had to buy another computer just for myself, I would probably get another Dell. [wachit14]
