I don't know much about computers, so can someone please tell me how to download pictures that I like off of sites.

A word of caution about using other peoples property. As a photographer and writer, I can tell you that my stuff is copyrighted. If you were to do your right click and save on my stuff, and later use it anywhere (like your profile, your new website) I could sue you. If you do not have permission, or if something is not in public domain, then you do not have the right to take it for your own use. There are sites like webshots.com where you are given permission to download pictures for your personal use, or you can e-mail the owner of the image for permission to use their image/images. Be aware that your webpages are NOT personal use as this is a form of publication so you need to be specific in your request as to what you want to do with someone's work. Since I get paid for the use of my images, it is unlikely I would grant permission to use my images for any commerical or published purpose. (personal use yes, public use no. personal use is your desktop/screensaver.) Please be very careful to always ask and get permission to take and use someone's work. [silvatungfox]

1. You should not down load pictures from search engines. They are covered under copyright acts. 2. You should have your own pictures either taken by you or your friends/relatives and stored in computer either under Mypictures or in some folders. 3. When you complete a discussion, or response, do not press PREVIEW DISCUSSION, instead click on ADD AN IMAGE. You get a different window boxes. Click on BROWSE. Select the folder where you have stored the picture. Folders with pictures opens. Use the right lick on a particular picture. Then click on edit, if you would like to edit the picture -- like defining the size of the picture etc.Minimize it, then go back to the picture, right click on it. Then there is a SELECT, click on it. The file name ending with .jpg appears on mylot page window. You can type the details of the photograph, give description of the photo and lastly tag the picture. Then Click DOWN LOAD PHOTO Then click on PREVIEW DISCUSSION Then click on SUBMIT You can see the picture downloaded on to mylot discussion page either at the main disucssion/or at the response area or at ADD COMMENT AREA whichever you have chosen. by you.
